Who we are

Utenzeal (utenzeal.com) is run by Gotame in the United Kingdom. Gotame is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us through our contact page.

What we collect

When you browse

You do not need an account to use Utenzeal. We set no cookies, and we use no advertising or tracking tools.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data about you.

Our hosting company and our network provider process technical data, such as your IP address, so that pages reach your device and the site stays secure.

When you contact us

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the reason you chose, the product you mention if any, and your message. We use them only to reply to you and to correct our records if you have found a mistake. We delete messages within about 12 months, and usually sooner.

If you send us a photo, we use it only as you agreed when you sent it. We publish it with your first name, or anonymously if you ask.

Spam protection

To stop spam, the contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile and allows up to 5 messages an hour from each connection. To count them we keep a scrambled version of your IP address, which is deleted automatically.

Shop links

When you press a “See price” button, you go to the shop’s site, for example Amazon. The shop or affiliate network may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Shops and networks show us which items were bought through our links and the sales totals, but never who bought them.

Why we use your data

We rely on our legitimate interests to run and secure the site, to count visits, to reply to messages, and to stop spam. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for marketing.

Who we share it with

We use Hostinger to host the site and our email, and Cloudflare to deliver the site, count visits and check the contact form. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, they use recognised safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to or limit how we use it. To do this, please use our contact page or email us. We reply within one month.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab)). We would be grateful if you contacted us first, so we can try to put it right.

Cookies and storage in your browser

Utenzeal sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set a short security cookie to tell people from automated bots. It is not used to track you. If you choose dark or light mode with the switch at the top of the page, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. Nothing is sent to us. Cloudflare Turnstile runs only when you open one of our contact forms.

Children

Utenzeal is meant for adults.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If we start an email list, we will update this policy before it starts.
